What Changed
As more families found their way to the studio, one pair of hands was no longer enough — so Petra chose to grow rather than turn them away.
What It Became
Today Jonge Maestro is a small team of teachers in Den Haag, built on the same idea: the child first, the instrument second. Professional without being rigid, warm without being unstructured.
Why It Starts So Young
We begin with our youngest through playful music sessions, because the musical foundations are laid long before little fingers are ready for an instrument — and they make everything that follows easier.

Petra Ruth Alexandry
Founder & Lead Teacher

Teaching Experience:
Petra, born in Jakarta, Indonesia, discovered her passion for teaching at the young age of 17, inspired by her piano teacher, Kak Vanda, whose unique blend of kindness, patience, and discipline shaped Petra’s approach to education. In 2011, she moved to the Netherlands to pursue her studies at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and Koninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag, earning her Master of Piano Performance and Master of Piano Pedagogy in 2022.
Since founding Jonge Maestro in 2016, Petra has been dedicated to establishing it as the leading private music school in South Holland. Together with her talented team, she provides not only exceptional music lessons but also organizes thematic group sessions and concerts, fostering a vibrant and holistic learning environment for students.
She knows what a five-year-old needs in a first lesson, and what motivates a teenager.
GABRIELLE CHANG

Teaching Experience:
Gaby’s love for teaching blossomed from her deep affection for children and her passion for music. With a Bachelor’s degree in Classical Piano Performance from UPH Conservatory of Music, she developed her craft under the mentorship of Carla Suharto and honed her skills in violin with Amelia Tionanda. Beyond her formal studies, Gaby’s musical journey has been enriched through masterclasses with renowned musicians and varied performance experiences, from concerts to chamber music and orchestras.
Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Music Education at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague, Gaby is also a certified Suzuki Violin Teacher (Book 1), allowing her to connect with young learners through a nurturing and student-centered approach. For Gaby, teaching is more than imparting musical knowledge-it’s about inspiring joy and confidence in every child she meets.
KEISHA SARAVITRA BAWONO

Teaching Experience:
Keisha is a piano teacher with a strong passion for music and child development. She began her studies in Jakarta at Yayasan Pendidikan Musik (2008–2014). She later taught at Life On Piano Music Center by Levi Gunardi, gaining 10 years of experience with students aged 3.5 to 28. Her teaching is student-centered. Keisha holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s in Human Resource Studies.
Her background in psychology shapes her teaching, especially in understanding how children learn. She further specialized in Early Childhood Music (ECM), focusing on engaging, age-appropriate learning. In her lessons, Keisha balances structure and creativity—building strong technique while keeping learning enjoyable. She aims to nurture confidence, self-expression, and a lifelong love for music.
