FAQS
What age can a child start piano lessons at Jonge Maestro?
Children can start individual piano lessons at any age, with no prior experience needed. For younger children (4–5 years old), we also offer a Piano Beginner Class in a small group format. A gentle, social introduction to the instrument before moving into individual lessons.
Do you offer music lessons for toddlers in Den Haag?
Yes. Our Toddler Music Class is designed for children aged 1.5 to 4 years old, taught together with a parent in a small group of up to five parent-and-child pairs. It's a playful first step into rhythm, singing, and listening. The earliest stage of a child's musical journey.
Where can I find piano lessons in Den Haag?
Jonge Maestro's studio is located in Bezuidenhout, Den Haag, where all our piano and music lessons take place. We welcome children and adult students from across the city and surrounding areas, including international and multilingual families.
What happens during a trial piano lesson?
A trial lesson lasts 30 minutes and gives your child a real first experience with their teacher, not just a tour of the studio. It's also a chance for us to understand your child's personality and starting point, so we can recommend the right lesson format afterward. The trial fee is fully refunded when you enrol.
Is there a music lesson for a child with no previous experience?
Yes, none of our programmes require prior experience. Whether your child is taking their first Toddler Music Class or starting individual piano lessons as a teenager, every lesson begins from where they are, not where a curriculum assumes they should be.
What's the difference between group and individual piano lessons?
Our Piano Beginner Class is a small group format (max. 3 children), giving young beginners the chance to learn alongside peers in a friendly setting. Individual piano lessons, available from 30 to 60 minutes, are shaped entirely around one student's pace, goals, and progress. Both are taught by the same caring, qualified teachers.
Are music lessons for children in Den Haag taught in English?
Yes. Lessons at Jonge Maestro are taught in English, Dutch, and Bahasa Indonesia, so international and local families alike can feel understood and included from the very first trial lesson.
How do I book a trial lesson at Jonge Maestro?
Booking is simple, tell us a little about your child, attend a 30-minute trial lesson, and receive a lesson recommendation suited to their age and experience. From there, your child is ready to begin their musical journey with us.
